An ADA-Accessible, Pet Friendly Hudson, New York Hotel

As a small, locally owned and operated hotel, The Barlow policies differ from large, chain hotels many guests may be familiar with.  Please read them carefully prior to booking and note that they are subject change without notice:

  • To guarantee your reservation, a deposit of one night or 50% of the total stay (whichever is greater) has been applied against the credit card supplied at booking.
  • The balance on all room stays, including the total with tax, is due at check-in. Early check outs will not be refunded.
  • Reservations may be rescheduled without penalty once provided this occurs beyond the 14 day cancellation period. The reservation may not be rescheduled again. Any rescheduled reservation not completed will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
  • The Barlow does not “hold” any rooms for any event on any weekend.
  • Cancellations: For 1 or 2 room reservations:  If cancellation is made greater than 14 days prior to arrival guests receive a full refund less a $25/room processing fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival result in the forfeiture of the deposit.  For 3 or more room reservations:  If cancellation is made greater than 45 days prior to arrival, guests receive a full refund less a $75/room processing fee.  Cancellations made less than 45 days prior to arrival result in the forfeiture of the deposit.  Any cancellation 3 days or less prior to arrival or “no shows” will be responsible for the full cost of the reservation.
  • We require a two-night commitment/reservation for all weekends throughout the year.
  • The Barlow provides a smoke free environment and smoking is allowed only outside the building. Smoking inside the building is prohibited at all times.
  • Our guest rooms can accommodate up to 2 or 4 guests maximum based on category of guest room booked. We do not have the ability to add additional bedding in any guest room including “pack and play” infant bedding.
  • Children over the age of 1 will be viewed as an additional guest and will therefore will be used in determining occupancy limits.
  • THE BARLOW HAS ONLY ONE ROOM THAT DESIGNATED “PET FRIENDLY”.  Pets will only be accommodated in that specifically designated room and are not allowed in any other room at The Barlow. Separate pet policy guidelines must to signed prior to check-in. PETS MAY NOT BE LEFT ALONE IN THE GUEST ROOM AT ANY TIME.
  • The Barlow encourages a quiet, relaxing atmosphere to be enjoyed by all guests. To ensure all guests’ comfort the Lobby is closed after 11:00 p.m. and is not to be used for a gathering of any sort.  Guests who make excessive noise, damage the property, exceed occupancy requirements or fail to act as directed by the Staff of The Barlow will be immediately evicted without refund.
  • Check in time begins at 3:00. Check out time is 11:00 a.m.
  • Failure to comply with any policy of The Barlow, its staff or management will result in immediate eviction and/or the additional charge of $250 against the credit card on file at time of check-in.
