Decorations in our lobby

Anyone who knows Duncan, knows that he loves decorating for the holidays…any holiday!  And in the Hudson Valley, Halloween is a big one.  So, much like we’ve done at The Croff House, The Barlow has put on its best scary face for Halloween.  Our front door wreath was designed and created by one of the amazing artists at Etsy.com.  If you haven’t visited Etsy’s website, you really are missing out on beautifully created handcrafted items.  Inside, Department 56’s Halloween village pieces creates a perfectly frightening village for every ghoul and boy.  We still have some selected rooms available before and during Halloween, so scare up some friends and come visit us!

Close up on our Glass Collection

Now that we’ve finished with the construction phase at The Barlow, our attention turns to all the little touches.

We want The Barlow to be a hip, relaxing space for our guests and also want it to convey some of our personality.  Our lobby is already a great place to hang out for our guests as they wait for their friends of simply to enjoy the setting.  So why not make it even more inviting…

And what better way to achieve that than to display some of our own personal items?

So earlier this week we took over our personal martini glass collection to stock in the lobby bookcase.  They’re not there to be used, but create a great impression in the lobby area.  And if it happens to inspire guests to go out and visit any of our outstanding, stylish local waterholes, who are we to complain!?!
