Hudson’s music scene is roaring right along with great performances taking place every week. Recently Helsinki Hudson welcomed renowned artist Mavis Staples to the stage in a show one reviewer called, “a rare chance to see a living legend”. The Hudson Opera House hosted an intimate concert by performer Dan Tepfer, with guest vocalist Joanna Wallfisch, to a sold out crowd. The concert comes on the heels of HOH’s highly praised presentation of TedX Talks.
Things only get hotter in March. The Hudson Opera House will be presenting The Lives of Hamilton Fish – a cinematic rock opera inspired by a true story that won Best Picture at the 2014 New England Underground Film Festival Later in the month as part of the Classics on Hudson series Grammy nominated artists Shmuel Ashkenasi and Peter Wiley are joined by Helena Baillie in a program of outstanding classical music.
Helsinki on Broadway kicks of the 2015 season welcoming back Tony Award winner Jim Dale in his latest cabaret show “Just Jim Dale”. HRC Showcase Theater will be presenting Robert John Ford’s Sleeping Dogs. Joseph Hayen’s “The Creation” will be presented with full orchestra and chorus at the Fisher Center at Bard College as part of their large format concert series.
