Win a gift certificate to The Barlow and support two local organizations in their fundraising efforts at the same time. The Barlow is pleased to be providing gift certificates to the ReEntry Columbia “Tag Sale and Silent Auction” being held on June 28. At the end of August you’ll have a second chance to win a gift certificate to The Barlow at the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York‘s Columbia-Greene Garden party being held at the Ludlow Homstead.
ReEntry Columbia is a non-profit organization that provides transitional support for men and women released from incarceration to Columbia County, New York. Their goal is “to reduce recidivism by helping clients obtain housing, employment, transportation, support services, and successfully rejoin their families and community”. Very often individuals released from jail are provided little or no support to reintegrate into the community and end up returning to their prior behavior. REC’s mission is to provide assistance when these people need it most. On Saturday, June 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. REC will be holding a tag sale and silent auction at the First Presbyterian Church of Hudson, and The Barlow will be donating a gift certificate good for a two-night stay in one of our Queen Deluxe Guest Rooms.
We have been a long time supporter of the AIDS Council, having attended the annual Dining Out for Life event each year for the past 10 years. This year we will be providing a similar gift certificate for the ACNY’s Columbia-Greene Garden Party being held at the Ludlow Homestead in Claverack on August 31 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.. Guests will be able to sample some wonderful food and beverages while enjoying the beauty of this recently restored 1786 estate and supporting this very worthwhile organization.
So if you’re looking to “kill two birds with one stone” why not join us at both of these sure-to-be-fun events. You’ll be supporting great causes and, hey, you may just win a gift certificate to The Barlow!
